BISWANATH CHARIALI: The 34th NVS National Girls' Football Tournament concluded successfully at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Biswanath in which the Shillong Region claimed massive wins in the final matches. The Shillong Region secured dominant wins in both the Under-17 and Under-19 categories.

Hosted by Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Biswanath, and organized by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, the three-day long 34th NVS National Girls' Football Tournament, which began on August 20, concluded on Saturday afternoon.

Around 300 female students representing 10 regional units across the country—including Patna, Chandigarh, Bhubaneswar, and Hyderabad—participated in this national-level competition.

In the Under-17 final match, Shillong faced Lucknow and emerged victorious with a 4-1 scoreline. In the exciting Under-19 final clash, Shillong defeated Patna 2-0 to claim the title.

The prize distribution ceremony following the final matches was attended by Biswanath District Commissioner Karabi Saikia Karan, along with several dignitaries, school teachers, and prominent local personalities.
