JAMUGURIHAT: Assam Rifles organized a friendly volleyball match with the local youths of Buragaon village at Lokra today, stated a press release.

The sporting event aims at fostering camaraderie and promoting sportsmanship among participants. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with a total strength of 124 individuals, including 40 civilians and 84 Assam Rifles personnels. A total of three rounds were played wherein the locals won the initial round followed by consequent wins by the Assam Rifles team in the next two rounds. The friendly competition highlighted the bond between the Armed Forces and the local community, emphasizing teamwork, discipline, and mutual respect. Such events continue to strengthen civil-military relations, creating a positive atmosphere and encouraging physical fitness among all participants. The match concluded with a sense of unity and shared achievement.
