Assam Rifles Women Sentinel Cup 2025 Kicks Off at Lokra Garrison Football Ground

JAMUGURIHAT: The Assam Rifles Women Sentinel Cup 2025 kicked off at Lokra Garrison Football Ground with great enthusiasm, bringing together seven state teams from across the Northeast along with the DGAR Women’s Football Team. The Opening Ceremony was graced by Ankur Bharali (ACS) District Commissioner of Sonitpur, and Kumar Chandra Vikram, DIG SSB Training Centre Salonibari, as the chief guests along with other dignitaries. The participating teams include Nagaland, Tripura, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, DGAR Women’s Football Team, Assam, and Meghalaya. The tournament aims to promote women’s football and foster sportsmanship among the youth. The first match played between Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh kicked off at 1 PM setting the stage for an exciting competition.

Assam Rifles continues its commitment to empowering women in sports, strengthening community ties and inspiring young athletes in the region.
