DIBRUGARH: Participants of Jeet Kunee-De Martial Arts Association of Assam have bagged 6 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals in the 6th National Jeet Kune-Do Championship held at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi on October 2 and 3. The Assam team also snatched the Junior Best Team Title.

All winners were from Navoday Martial Arts Association, Dibrugarh. The Gold Medal winners in the boys' section were Ajoy Das (67.05 kg), Joydeep Pator (60.05 kg), Mrityunjoy Mondol (53.15 kg), Prince Sarkar (28 kg), Angsuman Bezbarua (46 kg) and in woman category, winners were Preyosi Saikia (38 kg) Alaknanda Dey (71 kg).

Abhisesh Bhattacharjee in 67.5 kg boy's category and Abhilasha Paul in 35.5 kg women category bagged silver medal while Abid Ahmed won bronze medal.

Sifu Nirmal Kanti Seal, the chief trainer of Navoday Martial Arts Association, was felicitated with Judges Trophy and a citation for conducting the 6th National Jeet Kune Do Martial Championship as chief judge.

Shyama Singh Rajput and Sanjeeb Saikia took part in the national championship as Coach and Team Manager respectively.
