Cachar make clean sweep in Sepak Takraw

GUWAHATI: Cachar made a clean sweep in the 14th Inter District Sepak Takraw Championship which concluded at Tarun Ram Phukan Indoor Stadium here today. The side clinched all four titles in the meet. All the finals of the meet were held today. In the women's section Cachar defeated Dibrugarh by 21-15, 21-10 in the Regu event. Hailakandi finished third in this category defeating Kamrup by 21-9, 21-11. In the Women's double event Cachar beat Hailakandi 21-18, 21-17 on the way to win the title. Dibrugarh bagged the third spot beating Kamrup in decider by 21-8, 21-10. In the men's section also Cachar dominated and won both the titles. The side in Men's doubles final defeated Dibrugarh by 21-19, 21-18. Hailakandi took the third spot. They beat Karbi Anglong (West) 21-13, 21-16 in the deciding game. In the day's last event Cachar won the Regu title beating Dibrugarh 21-14, 21-9 in the final.
