Guwahati: Assam began their campaign on a high note in the 14th Mini National Roll Ball Championship, which commenced at the Rudra Singha Sports Complex in Guwahati on Saturday.
In the girls’ section, Assam registered two dominant wins on the opening day, defeating Uttar Pradesh 3-0 and Nagaland 9-0. The boys’ team also showcased their skills with a convincing 4-1 victory over Haryana.
The competition was officially inaugurated by B Kalyan Chakravarty, Additional Chief Secretary of Assam, in the presence of several dignitaries. The tournament features 56 teams (boys and girls) from 25 states, making it a highly competitive four-day event.
