GUWAHATI: 91 Yards Club and Bud Cricket Club registered victories in their respective matches at the GTC Men’s Spring T20 Cup, held at Judges’ Field here on Monday.
The match between Bud Cricket Club and Gauhati Town Club was reduced to five overs per side due to a wet outfield. Gauhati Town Club posted 50 for 2 in 5 overs, with Sumit Kashyap scoring 32 runs. In reply, Bud Cricket Club chased down the target in 4.2 overs, finishing at 51 for 4. Diwiz Pathak scored 24, while Abu Nechim Ahmed contributed 20 runs. Avinav Choudhury impressed with the ball, picking up 3 wickets for 4 runs.
In the other match of the day held between 91 Yards Club and Navajyoti Club was well contested. 91 Yards Club put up 140 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs, thanks to Parvej Musharaf’s 42 and Sourav Dihingia’s 36. Raj Agarwal took 2 wickets for 29 runs. In response, Navajyoti Club fell just short, managing 137 for 7 in 20 overs. Hrishikesh Tamuli scored 44 and Avijit Singha Roy added 37. Parvej Musharaf starred with the ball as well, claiming 6 wickets for 23 runs to help seal the win for 91 Yards Club.
