Guwahati beat Hojai to lift Girls U-15 title

Guwahati emerged champion in the ACA Girls U-15 Inter-District Cricket Tournament 2025, defeating Hojai by 47 runs in the final held at the D.N. Singha Stadium, Goalpara on Sunday.

GUWAHATI: Guwahati emerged champion in the ACA Girls U-15 Inter-District Cricket Tournament 2025, defeating Hojai by 47 runs in the final held at the D.N. Singha Stadium, Goalpara on Sunday.

Opting to bat first, Guwahati bowled out 123 in 35 overs thanks to a beautiful performance from Hojai bowler Serli Englengpi who finished 6-18. Baibhabee Das (19 off 37 balls) and Nafasat Begum (14 off 65 balls) were the top contributors. In response, Hojai was bowled out for 76 in 31.5 overs, Ritika Malakar (20 no) was the top scorer.

The closing ceremony was graced by Assam Cricket Association (ACA) Apex Council Members Anupam Deka, Minu Begum,and other officials.

Brief score:  Guwahati:123 ( 35)  overs, Baibhabee Das 19; Serli Englengpi 6/18. Hojai: 76 (31.5 overs), Ritika Malakar not out 20,  Baibhabee Das 3/10, Shikha Boro 2/6).

Individual Awards: Player of the match (final): Baibhabee Das (Guwahati). Best bowler: Kaushalya Sahu (Hojai). Best batter: Dolly Kardong (Bokakhat). Player of the tournament: Kaushalya Sahu (Hojai).
