GUWAHATI: Guwahati emerged victorious in the invitational T20 Women’s Cricket Tournament 2025 defeating Nagaon by 25 runs at Nagaon on Saturday. Guwahati, opted to bat first, posted a total of 106 for 6 in 20 overs. Hiramoni Saikia top-scored with 31 runs off 35 balls, while Sneha Sinha contributed 22 off 37 balls. For Nagaon, Dipshikha Bordoloi was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 2 wickets for 18 runs. In reply, Nagaon struggled to chase down the target, and managed 81 for 8 in 20 overs. Dibya Rani Bora was the top scorer with 22 off 32 balls, while Bhagyashree Kashyap added 16 runs. Guwahati’s bowling attack, led by Aparna Nandy (4/12) and Sneha Sinha (2/19), proved too strong for the Nagaon batters. The closing ceremony was graced by several distinguished guests, including Pradip Hazarika, Vice President, Nowgong Sports Association, Tapan Kumar Das, General Secretary, Nowgong Sports Association; Sajjad Zaheer Hussain, Asst General Secretary, GSA, Nasir Gul Khan, Sports Secretary, Cricket, GSA and others.
