Gyan, Reshma win singles titles at TOPCEM-ASJA Inter-Media Badminton Championship

GUWAHATI: Gyan Ranjan Bora and Syeda Reshma Haider clinched the men’s and women’s singles titles, respectively, at the TOPCEM-ASJA Inter-Media Badminton Championship held at Kanaklata Stadium here today.

In the men’s singles final, Gyan Ranjan of Prag News defeated Riturajj Borthakur of The Assam Tribune with a dominant 21-10 scoreline. Meanwhile, Syeda Reshma Haider (NE Live), the defending champion, overcame Nabanita Kalita of Prag News 21-15 in the women’s singles final. This marks Reshma's third consecutive title in the championship. In the team event, All India Radio emerged victorious, defeating Prag News 2-1 in a closely fought contest. Manash Pratim Sarma and Mandeep Mahanta represented the winning team, while Gyan Ranjan Bora and Ranjit Rai competed for Prag News.
