Sivasagar: Aswini Kumar Chetia & Tolan Chetia Memorial Football begins in Hanhchora HS School Field

GAURISAGAR: Aswini Kumar Chetia & Tolan Chetia Memorial Invitational Football Championship, organized by Tai Ahom Students’ Union, got underway in Sivasagar Hanhchora HS School Field today. In the inaugural match, Evening Star FC, Nazira defeated Hanchora FCC 4-3 through tie breaker. Inaugurating the football championship, senior journalist and Vice President of Sivasagar Sports Association Manoj Kumar Borthakur said that sports are the only natural activities of human beings while all other activities are done under compulsion.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by dignitaries like social activist Brajen Phukan, Member of State Women Commission Binita Saikia Dey, Pallobi Chetia, Prabin Chetia, Utpal Gohain, Jatin Chetia, Principal, Hanchora HS School, Akhil Gogoi, and ATASU President Basanta Gogoi.
