GUWAHATI: Veteran cricket coach Nabab Ali was honoured with “Manab Mitra” title in a felicitation ceremony held at Bakulbon at Chatribari today. The event was organized to commemorate the 94th birth anniversary of noted educationist and former Principal of Jawaharlal Nehru Collage, Boko, Jatindra Chandra Nath. Eminent author and educationist Prof. Amarjyoti Choudhury conferred the honour upon Nabab Ali in recognition of his immense contribution to cricket development in the state.

The ceremony also featured Lieutenant General Pranab Bharali, the first Assamese officer to attain this rank in the Indian Army Aviation Wings, was a special guest at the event. Expressing his gratitude, Nabab Ali thanked organizers for the recognition and the love he has received from the years.
