NCHAC allot land to Assam Cricket Association
North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) allotted 30 bighas of land to Assam Cricket Association at New Tumbung in Umrangso for the development of a ground and cricket infrastructure.

GUWAHATI: North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) allotted 30 bighas of land to Assam Cricket Association at New Tumbung in Umrangso for the development of a ground and cricket infrastructure.
Assam Cricket Association will take possession of the allotted land after 15 August and will soon start work to build a cricket ground along with a pavilion and other cricket infrastructure.
It may be mentioned here that the allotment of the land came just within 3 weeks of the visit of a delegation of the Assam Cricket Association in the district. During the visit they met with the officials of the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council and requested them to provide a suitable ground so that modern cricket infrastructure can be built on it.
