PSG to face Lyon in Women's Champions League semis

MADRID: Paris Saint Germain beat Arsenal 2-1 in San Sebastian, while Olympique Lyon won 2-1 against Bayern Munich 2-1 in Bilbao in their respective last-eight matches to set up an all-French semifinal in the Women's Champions League.

The two French sides join FC Barcelona and Wolfsburg, who booked their places in the last four on Friday.

Both of Saturday's games were hard-fought affairs, but the best team progressed in each, with PSG offering more than a well-drilled arsenal in attack.

Marie Antoinette Katoto opened the scoring with a powerful volley from a 14th-minute corner, and although Kim Little set up Beth Mead for the equaliser six minutes before halftime a defensive error 13 minutes from time allowed Katoto to drill in a low ball for Bruun to finish from close range.

Meanwhile, six-times winners, Olympique Lyon, continued their impressive knockout stage form against a tough Bayern side.

Nikita Parris' brave header opened the scoring shortly before halftime, and Lyon looked to be on their way when Amel Majro scored an excellent free-kick just before the hour. IANSĀ
