Shivangi, Nirman win silver in women 50mts free style swimming in the 37th National Games

GUWAHATI: Assam swimmer Shivangi Sarma won silver medal in the women 50mts free style swimming in the 37th National Games in Goa on Tuesday. Shivangi clocked 26.80 to finish second in the competition. It was the third medal for Assam in the Games from the swimming competition,

Nirman Rupam Kashyap (U-45kg) gave Assam another silver medal in the Kyorugi event in Taekwondo, Nirman, entered the final in the competition, lost the game to an opponent from Maharashtra.

Meanwhile both men and women archery teams of Assam reached the finals. In the women Water Polo, Assam lost to Maharashtra by 1-25.
