WAMUL, Guwahati invite tender to operate and maintain the Bulk Milk Cooling Centres

REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (REOI)

From eligible Firms/ Agencies/ Companies/Organizations/Individuals to operate and maintain the Bulk Milk Cooling Centres of WAMUL on a franchise basis.

West Assam Milk Producers' Cooperative Union Limited (WAMUL), popularly known as Purabi Dairy, as the apex cooperative institution in Assam is providing round the year remunerative market to its dairy farmers and fresh & safe milk to the consumers. The Milk Union collects milk from Dairy Cooperative Societies in the districts under its area of operations. To maintain the quality of milk, the collected milk is chilled at Bulk Milk Cooling Centres, serving a cluster of such societies. The milk is subsequently taken to the central processing unit "Purabi Dairy" in Guwahati.

As a part of dairy development activities and to expand its reach to more and more villages and farmers, WAMUL intends to set up BMC centres of different capacities at the following locations: (I) Boko, District - Kamrup (Rural), (II) Goalpara, District-Goalpara, (Ill) Dhing, District- Nagaon, (IV) Kaliabor, District- Nagaon.

The BMC equipment are being procured under the World Bank funded project Assam Agri-business and Rural Transformation Project (APART) and are proposed to be operated and maintained by WAMUL through franchisee operates. The infrastructure required for setting up the BMC Centre shall also be provided by the franchisee. This offers an excellent opportunity to the young entrepreneurs of Assam in serving the rural community.

Managing Director, WAMUL is pleased to invite offers from eligible Firms/ Agencies/Companies/Organizations/Individuals, in two cover system, to operate and maintain BMC centres of WAMUL, on a franchisee basis, to be installed and commissioned at the strategic locations mentioned above.

The interested Firms/ Agencies/Companies/Organizations/Individuals may refer to the terms and conditions of this franchisee offer in the bid document uploaded in the website of WAMUL- http://purabi.org/tenders.php from 19th October, 2020. The bids for the aforesaid offer shall be accepted by WAMUL till 12 pm of 18th November, 2020.

It is to be noted that WAMUL reserves the right to reject any or all offers without assigning any reason thereof.
