Cash-For-Job Scam: Investigation Reaches Final Stage

GUWAHATI: The Special Court, Guwahati has set a 10-day deadline for Dibrugarh police to complete its investigation into the cash-for-job scam in the APSC (Assam Public Service Commission) and submit all necessary documents by August 27, 2019.

The Special Court has also spelt it out that it might not incline to grant any further time in future.

The investigator had soughgt two weeks’ time to complete the investigation and submit all documents earlier on August 1, 2019.

In the hearing of the case on August 16, 2019, the counsel let the Court know that the IO failed to submit the documents sought by the court because of his preoccupation with Independence Day duty.

The counsel prayed for further 10 days for the submission of all documents.
