Five Hardcore NDFB(S) cadres apprehended by Security forces in Arunachal Pradesh

Kokrajhar: Based on intelligence sources regarding the presence of NDFB(S) cadres in Jairampur. An efficacious joint operation was launched by Kokrajhar army of Red Horns Division, Assam Rifles and Jairampur police on the night of November 15 and apprehended five hardcore NDFB(S) cadres.

As per a press statement, all the NDFB(S) cadres were trained in Myanmar and belongs to Batch 40 and 42.

The five NDFB(S) cadres were identified as Biswajit Basumatary alias B Birsha, Devika Muchahary alias M Daobaisuli, Sampa Basumatary alias B Sarfao, Dwimu Brahma alias Dwijiri, Birkhang Basumatary alias B Bwsrang.

It is to be noted, the complete group was busted while infiltrating into India from their training camp in Myanmar.

An ambush was established on their infiltration route and all 5 individuals were nabbed.

The operation also resulted in the recovery of arms, ammunition from their possession. The individuals along with seized items were handed over to police.

The joint operation has turned out to be an excellent example of a high level of coordination and cooperation between different security forces and also exhibits dogged determination of army to quell the insurgency and maintain peace and harmony.
