3.9 magnitude quake recorded in Assam

Guwahati: Within a span of a few days, another earthquake hit Assam at around 6.30 PM on Thursday. Thankfully, the magnitude was lower than the earlier one that hit on January 5. Today's quake was of magnitude 3.9, as compared to the 5.1 temblor on Jan 5. The earthquake occurred exactly at 18:30:47 IST, at Latitude 26.71 N and Longitude 92.30 E, in the Udalguri region, at a depth of 10 km below the surface.
