GUWAHATI: Assam Finance Minister Ajanta Neog is going to table the state annual budget for the financial year 2025-26 on March 10 on the floor of the state Assembly. The state budget session will start on February 17 and conclude on March 25.

According to Assam Legislative Assembly sources, the budget session will have 14 working days. March 11 and 12 are meant for the general discussion on the budget.

The first day of the Assam Assembly session will be held in Kokrajhar, and the remaining days will be at Dispur. The budget session will start with the Governor’s speech on February 17.

The Finance Department has already started its preparations for the annual budget of the state. It has instructed all departments to submit their budget estimates by January 30.

This budget will be the last full-fledged budget of this government led by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
