Assam flood toll has risen to 40 with the death of one more person from Barpeta

GUWAHATI: With the death of one more person from Barpeta district on Wednesday, the State's flood toll has risen to 40. Altogether 1,70,956 persons are affected in 348 villages across 12 districts. Altogether 1,095 persons are taking shelter in 16 relief camps. The main rivers are still flowing above the damger level, stated the bulletin of ASDMA.
