Assam government issues official notification for sub-districts

GUWAHATI: The State Government issued the official notification for the creation of 79 sub-districts in as many LACs within their respective administrative districts. The notification issued by the GAD (General Administration Department) said that the creation of the sub-districts is for administrative expediency, to derive maximum synergy, productivity, and efficiency at the grassroots level, and in aid of a good citizen-centric administration.
