

GUWAHATI: Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya extended greetings to the people of the state, especially the Muslim community, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. In his message, the Governor said the festival, marking the end of Ramadan, symbolised peace, gratitude and spiritual renewal. He expressed hope that the occasion would strengthen harmony, unity and mutual respect among all sections of society, a press release said.
