Assam receives 1.88 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine

GUWAHATI: Assam has received 1,88,540 doses of Covishield vaccine from the Central government on Thursday. The vaccine has been provided by the SII (Serum Institute of India). The doses will allotted to the 34 district administrations for the vaccination drive.

Till Wednesday, the State had a stock of 1,13,880 doses of anti-COVID vaccines. According to Health Department statistics, up to Wednesday a total of 14,32,071 persons have been administered the second dose of vaccination whereas 70,40,915 persons have received the first dose.
