Assam registers 1,798 new COVID-19 cases, positivity rate 1.27%

GUWAHATI: As many as 1,798 fresh COVID-19 cases were detected in the State on Tuesday when 10 people died of the pandemic. While the positivity rate in the State during the day was 1.27 percent, the recovery rate was 95.89 percent. The highest number of positive cases was 256 in Kamrup Metro district. It was followed by Golaghat with 165 cases, Lakhimpur with 109 cases and Dibrugarh with 107 cases.
