Dispur shuffled bureaucrats, three districts have new DCs

GUWAHATI: Dispur shuffled some of the bureaucrats, including three deputy commissioners on Wednesday.

Following a notification from the Personnel Department, the government transferred and posted Varnali Deka, IAS, as Kokrajhar DC, Megha Nidhi Dahal, IAS, as Sivasagar DC and Anupam Choudhury, ACS as Hojai DC.

Meanwhile, the government transferred and posted Sivasagar DC Bishnu Kamal Baruah, ACS, as the Director of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) and Joint Secretary to the Information and Public Relations Department.

The government also transferred and posted Ghanashyam Das, IAS, as the Secretary to the Social Welfare Department. Following the same notification, the government has transferred Hojai DC Dr Sadnek Singh, IAS, and asked him to report to the Personnel Department for posting.
