GUWAHATI: The fate of the entire CCE (Combined Competitive Examination)-2013 conducted by the APSC (Assam Public Service Commission), especially that of 34 candidates, depends on a high-level committee formed by the State Government.

Disclosing this before the media today, Justice (retd) Biplab Kumar Sharma said, "The State Government entrusted me to inquire into the anomalies in the CCE-2013. The APSC declared the results of CCE-2013 in 2015. During the inquiry, I found anomalies against 34 candidates who were not among the candidates against whom the police had filed criminal cases. The 34 candidates in question are working as ACS and allied service officers."

Justice (retd) Sharma said, "I submitted my report on April 2, 2022. The State Government formed a committee to look into the matter. The committee will see what the government will have to do with the 34 officers and if the government needs to set aside the entire CCE-2013. As I know, the committee will file its report soon. The people will see the clear picture in time."

The Chief Secretary heads the committee to examine the inquiry report submitted by Justice (retd) Biplab Kumar Sharma.
