Guwahati: Two Appointed as Assam Public Service Commission Members

The state government appointed two new members to the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) - Prabhati Thaosen (IAS) and Pabitra Ram Khound (IAS).

Guwahati: The state government appointed two new members to the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) - Prabhati Thaosen (IAS) and Pabitra Ram Khound (IAS).

Regarding this, the Department of Personnel issued an official notification. Both the officers belong to the Assam-Meghalaya cadre of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).

Prabhati Thaosen is presently posted as Secretary to the Government of Assam, Border Protection & Development and Tourism Department, as well as State Enquiry Officer, Assam.

On the other hand, Pabitra Ram Khound is presently posted as Secretary to the Government of Assam, Irrigation Department, Department of Housing & Urban Affairs, Water Resources Department, State Prabhari Officer, Udalguri, and Member of the State Level Recruitment Commission for Class III posts.

Both officers have been appointed on the condition that they cease to be members of the Indian Administrative Service upon assuming the charge of the post of Member, APSC.
