GUWAHATI: The policy decision of the State government to provide a few services to the rural populace in one complex with 'integrated revenue circles' is on the way to getting the final shape.
The DLR (Directorate of Land Records) is now translating the concept of 'all-in-one integrated revenue circle offices' into reality.
An integrated revenue circle office will have a sub-treasury (if available), a sub-register office and staff quarters with it in one complex.
In phase 1, the DLR has decided to make 50 of the 154 revenue circle offices of the state integrated ones. It has already selected the revenue circle offices to integrate them with sub-treasuries, sub-register offices and staff quarters. It has sent the proposal to Dispur for the final shape.
According to sources, the government has already allocated Rs 50 crore in the 2021-22 Budget for phase 1 of the integrated revenue circle project.
