MBBS courses renewed at two medical colleges of Assam

GUWAHATI: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has recognized Assam Medical College and Gauhati Medical College for another five years, with 170 and 156 seats, respectively, in the MBBS course. State Health Minister Keshab Mahanta said that the department had appealed to the NMC for the renewal of the courses at these two medical colleges. “NMC’s appeals committee renewed the courses after reviewing the dossiers submitted by the principals of the two medical colleges,” he said.
