BONGAIGAON: Serious concern has arisen among local residents after used medicine bottles, medical waste, and syringes were allegedly found dumped openly near Chalantapara MV School of Bongaigaon district. The unhygienic condition has created fear among parents and locals, as the waste lies close to the school campus where students regularly pass.
As stated by locals, some pharmacy shops located near the Cholongtapara MPHC are allegedly throwing medical waste in the area without proper disposal arrangements.
"We are worried for the safety of our children. Used syringes and medical waste near a school can be very dangerous," said Rashid Ahmed, a local guardian.
Another resident Mahen Sarkar appealed to the district administration for stern action. "The area has become dirty and unhealthy. Administration should look into the matter and ensure proper waste management."
