National awards: Teacher from Assam Meenakshi Goswami in list

A CORRESPONDENT

TEZPUR: Principal of Chandra Nath Sarma Higher Secondary School (located at Bihaguri in Sonitpur district) Meenakshi Goswami is the only one from Assam among the 46 teachers selected for the prestigious National Awards to Teachers-2022.

President Droupadi Murmu will confer the awards on September 5 at a ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. The award carries a certificate of merit, a cash award of Rs. 50,000 and a silver medal.

The Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, confers awards to the best teachers.
