Night curfew extended in East Khasi Hills

SHILLONG: The District Magistrate of East Khasi Hills District on Sunday extended the night curfew in between 11 pm to 5 am each day with effect from March 22 to 27.

The order has been issued under Section 144 Cr PC read together with Regulation 3 of the 'Meghalaya Epidemic Diseases', and 'COVID-19 Regulations-2020'. The order has been issued in view of the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the State and in order to put in place preventive and mitigation measures so that the pandemic is contained, reduced and eliminated.
