Riniki Bhuyan Sarma filed Rs 100-crore defamation suit against Manish Sisodia

GUWAHATI: Riniki Bhuyan Sarma filed a Rs 100-crore civil defamation suit against Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia at the Kamrup (M) Civil Judge Court today.

Bhuyan Sarma's advocate Padmadhar Nayak said, "Sisodia alleged that JCB Industry owned by Riniki Bhuyan Sarma had supplied PPE kits to the NHM (National Health Mission) at prices higher than the market rates."

Nayak said, "Since JCB Industry donated 1,485 PPE kits to NHM under CRS (Corporate Social Responsibility), it (JCM Industry) didn't take a single penny from the NHM for the supply of PPE kits.
