Survey has commenced on the recently added 'Ninth edition' to the KNP

GUWAHATI: Survey has commenced on the recently added 'Ninth edition' to the KNP (Kaziranga National Park) by the Sonitpur district administration along with the authorities of the Park. Talking to The Sentinel, KNP Director P Sivakumar said, "After completion of the survey, the district administration will hand over the area of 2570 hectares to the KNP authorities." He added, "Two more additions were recently added to the Park. These include the 176 hectares under the 'Seventh' addition and the 307 hectares under the 'Eighth addition." The government had issued a notification on these three new additions on September 2, 2020.
