Zoo Road: Two Wheeler collided with a Car on Shraddhanjali Flyover

Guwahati: On Friday night, two men sustained serious injuries after a motorcycle collided head-on with a car on the Shraddhanjali Flyover in Zoo Road area around 8pm . As per reports, the motorcycle was travelling from Commerce Point towards Ganeshguri when it allegedly entered the wrong lane and collided with an oncoming car bearing registration number AS 01EK 1182.

The force of the collision caused significant damage to the vehicles, while both motorcycle riders were seriously injured. Passers-by rushed to the spot after the accident and assisted the injured people. They were subsequently taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Moreover, the damaged motorcycle was reportedly removed from the accident site before police arrived. Therefore, personal belongings, including footwear and broken motorcycle parts, were found scattered across the road.

Traffic police from Geetanagar Police Station reached the spot after receiving information about the accident and launched an investigation. Police are examining the circumstances surrounding the collision, including the alleged lane violation by the motorcycle.
