Dibrugarh District Administration Imposes Restrictions Ahead of APSC Prelims on June 8

DIBRUGARH: The Dibrugarh District Administration has issued strict prohibitory orders ahead of the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2024, scheduled for June 8, 2025. In order to maintain law and order and ensure a peaceful environment at examination venues, the directive was passed under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023.

The examination will be held at three major centres in the district: DHSK College, Dibrugarh; MDKG College, Dibrugarh; and Dibru College. Biraj Boruah, ACS, Additional District Magistrate, signed the order prohibiting the gathering of individuals other than candidates, officials, and authorised personnel within a 100-metre radius of the exam venues.

Key Restrictions Imposed: Only candidates with valid admit cards, exam staff, and essential government personnel are allowed within 100 metres of the venues; unauthorised parking near the exam centres is strictly prohibited; mobile phones, calculators, and bluetooth devices are not permitted inside the premises, except for authorised persons; no food stalls or shops are permitted within the restricted zone; individuals will not be allowed to assist or guide candidates to their seats; and no events or rallies will be allowed in the restricted zone during the examination period.
