
Guwahati: An exposure visit to higher educational institutions for selected elementary and secondary students was organized by Samagra Shiksha, Assam, in association with Gauhati University, at B.K.B. Auditorium Hall at G.U. campus on Tuesday.
Prof. Mahanta, in his speech, said that such types of exposure visits will give the students an overview of higher educational institutions, especially Gauhati University, and will also inspire the students to pursue higher education in their choice of fields. Participating in the program, Dipika Choudhury, AES, Inspector of Schools, Kamrup Metro, said that the exposure visit to higher educational institutions was designed to give the students of elementary and secondary levels an overview of different higher education in Assam so that they can aspire to pursue higher educational degrees. Earlier delivering the welcome address, Dr. Ranjan Kr. Kakati, Director, Students' Welfare, G.U., welcomed all the participants to Gauhati University and mentioned that Gauhati University is the oldest university in the North East and urged the students to try in the future to pursue their higher education in various courses offered by Gauhati University, which has been accredited as an A+ institution by NAAC, stated a press release.
