Guwahati: Basistha Police bust gold smuggling bid at Jorabat checkpoint

GUWAHATI: Basistha Police foiled a gold smuggling attempt after intercepting a vehicle at the Jorabat Naka Check Point and recovering seven gold biscuits weighing 690.94 grams. The vehicle, bearing registration number AS01-EV-8157, was seized during the operation. The team apprehended the alleged smuggler, Md Saleh Murajhar of Murajhar in Hojai, following the interception.
