GUWAHATI: A team from Hatigaon Police Station intercepted two suspicious bags near Basisthapur Byelane No. 1. Upon inspection, they recovered a cache of stolen items, which included a laptop, a DSLR camera with lens, a GoPro camera, a gimbal, an Insta360 camera, a microphone, a laptop charger, a Nikon battery charger, four wristwatches, and a Punjab & Sind Bank passbook. A detailed investigation into the matter is currently underway.
In yet another swift response to a reported theft, a team from Kamakhya Outpost recovered a stolen Redmi mobile phone within an hour of the complaint. The team utilized both technical inputs and human intelligence to trace the phone, leading to the arrest of two individuals—Ashok Chakraborty (19) and Deep Shil (28)—from Pandu Port Road, near Pandu College Gate. The stolen device was successfully recovered, and legal action has been initiated against the accused as the investigation continues.
Meanwhile, a team from Noonmati Police Station apprehended Bhaiti Panging, aged 34, from Boginadi. He was wanted in an ongoing case registered with Pragjyotishpur Police Station. Legal action has been initiated following his arrest.
