
GUWAHATI: The inaugural ceremony of the youth exchange programme in border areas was held at the Youth Hostel, Paltan Bazaar, Guwahati, on Friday. The programme, organized by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Kamrup (M) district, was inaugurated by Guwahati Municipal Corporation ward commissioner Ratna Singh Bhardwaj. In her inaugural speech, Bhardwaj emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and brotherhood among the youth of border areas. She stated that this programme will promote cultural integration and brotherhood among the youths.
The programme was attended by IngKhuang Guang, Regional Director, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, North East Region; Promothesh Chakraborty, Deputy Director, NYKS, Assam, National Service Scheme, North Eastern Regional Office; youth officer Nakul Deori; and Azizur Rahman, youth leader and school teacher of Jamadarhat Higher Secondary School, while Chayan Suklabaidya, the district youth officer, Kamrup Metro NYK, welcomed the guests and participants of the programme.
