GUWAHATI: The district-level launch of the campaign “Har Ghar Tiranga, Har Ghar Swachhata: Swatantrata ka Utsav, Swachhata ke Sang” was held at the office of the Co-District Commissioner, Jalukbari Co-District. The event, organized under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) and Jal Jeevan Mission, began with the Swachh Sujal Gaon pledge and featured awareness drives, community engagement programmes, showcasing of Water and Sanitation Hygiene (WaSH) assets, and Gram Panchayat-level cleanup activities.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Jiwan Krishna Goswami, ACS, Co-District Commissioner, Jalukbari Co-District, in the presence of Mukut Barman, EE PHE, Guwahati Division-I; Bhaskar Jyoti Pegu, Assistant Commissioner; Nabajyoti Nath, Assistant Commissioner; and Samiran Das, AEE PHE, Guwahati Sub-Division. Officials from the Jalukbari Co-District Administration and the Public Health Engineering Department also attended.
Speaking at the event, officials highlighted the campaign’s dual objective — to encourage every household to proudly hoist the national flag and actively participate in cleanliness initiatives. The campaign seeks to blend the spirit of India’s Independence with the vision of a cleaner, healthier nation.
