Jeevan Kite River Festival kicked off in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The 10th edition of Jeevan Kite River Festival, a river beach event organized by the Jeevan Initiative along with 10 other NGOs on the bank of the Brahmaputra opposite Fancy Bazar was kicked off on Friday.

The main motto of this festival is to create beauty out of garbage and utilize the bank of Brahmaputra River to woo tourists.

The three-day-long festival includes several activities like kite flying, adventure sports, cultural shows and a host of other events.

The festival also includes competitions on recitation, photography, art, and quiz. Live musical shows, youth round table discussions, open-mic games are some of the other programmes of the festival. It also includes several art and craft stalls and traditional food stalls for visitors.
