MUMBAI: Shruti Haasan on her 35th birthday which was on January 28th was seen with her boyfriend Santanu Hazarika along with her best friends. On her birthday eve, she was seen with Santanu walking hand-in-hand in Mumbai. Reportedly, she went on a date with him.

Who is Santanu Hazarika?

Santanu Hazarika is a doodle artist and an illustrator. His Instagram bio says that he won the Best Doodle Artist in the Doodle Art Competition in 2014. He is also the co-founder of GAP - Gauhati Art Project. The Gauhati Art Project is an urban arts initiative, which aims at building an art community in Northeast India.

Santanu seems to be quite active on Instagram with 614 posts and 22k followers. He quit engineering to pursue a career as an illustrator. He has also worked with independent rappers and hip-hop artists like Raftaar and Divine.

Shruti Haasan worked in Tigmanshu Dhulia's 2020 Hindi crime drama, Yaara. Vidyut Jammwal, Shruti Haasan, Amit Sadh, Vijay Varma, Kenny Basumatary, and Ankur Vikal are the stars in it. The film is co-produced by Tigmanshu Dhulia Films and Azure Entertainment.

Yaara is an official remake of the 2011 French film A Gang Story and follows a gang of former criminals that reunites after several years to rescue a friend arrested by the police. The film was initially scheduled to get released theatrically but the film premiered digitally through ZEE5 on July 30, 2020.

Produced by RSVP Movies and Flying Unicorn Entertainment, it is premiering on the OTT platform, Netflix on February 19, 2021.

Laabam:

Laabam is a Tamil movie and is a political thriller based film. The writer and director are SP Jananathan. The stars in it are Vijay Sethupathi, Shruti Haasan with Jagapathi Babu, Sai Dhanshika, and Kalaiyarasan.
