Assam Police arrested 4,297 people; seized over 25,000 vehicles

GUWAHATI: The Assam Police, on Saturday, informed that it has arrested 4,297 people across the State and realized Rs. 2,18,89,550 fine for the violation of lockdown norms.

In its daily report on the lockdown, the police said that 2,053 cases have been registered for 2,725 incidents since the beginning of the restrictions. Besides, 25,426 vehicles and 32 boats have been seized during this period. Out of the total seized vehicles, 22,848 are two wheelers, 481 are three wheelers and 2,014 are four wheelers.
