Basistha Police, Crime Branch Guwahati seized suspected drugs

GUWAHATI: Acting on a tip-off, a team of Crime Branch, Guwahati along with Basistha Police seized 51 packets of suspected heroin weighing 624 gms.

The drugs were recovered after the teams intercepted one white color Maruti alto Bearing RC No AS 25BC 8438 running under UBER at Patorkuchi Road, near Basistha Chariali. During the search, driver cum owner of the vehicle, Sankar Das of Lechia Pathar Patorkuchi was arrested. Further, legal process is underway.
