GMC introduces new web-based software for a hassle-free city experience

Guwahati: In an attempt to make the life of the citizens of Guwahati hassle-free, the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has introduced its new web-based software. GMC informed about the same through a Twitter thread.

The web-based software has been developed by GMC to make the work of offices in the city effortless and transparent.

GMC wrote on their Twitter account: "GMC has developed the following web-based software to make the work of offices effortless and transparent."

Here is the list of web-based software developed by GMC along with their usefulness.

Vehicle Tracking System: The GPS-based vehicle tracking system by GMC will help the corporation to properly manage the fleet of vehicles through the various kinds of monitoring, which includes Fuel Consumption monitoring, Optimal Route monitoring, etc.

"Vehicle Tracking System: The GPS based Vehicle Tracking System will help the corporation to properly manage the fleet of vehicles with Optimal Route Monitoring, Fuel Consumption monitoring etc," tweeted GMC.

File Tracking System: File or DAK tracking system will help in monitoring the movement of the fie or DAK among the different offices of GMC.

GMC tweeted, " File Tracking/ DAK tracking System: For monitoring the File/Dak movement among the branches of GMC offices. The system has the provision of monitoring the File/Dak that is pending to be processed by GMC."

Public Feedback regarding Garbage Collection of NGOs: To keep the city clean and ensure that city is garbage-free, GMC developed an online service for the citizens of Guwahati, where they can regularly post their feedbacks regarding the garbage collection of the NGOs. This will further add to the smooth monitoring of garbage collection in the city. Based on the feedback received by GMC, an inquiry will be initiated.

The new system will help in keeping the city clean in a more efficient way, as GMC will receive inputs directly from the residents of the city.
