Karbi Anglong CEM Demands Separate Autonomous State Before Assembly Speaker

Guwahati/Karbi Anglong: On Thursday, CEM of Karbi Anglong Tuliram Ronghang during a meeting called upon by the Assam Legislative Assembly Speaker Hitendra Nath Goswami stated that their long-standing demand of Article 244 (A) for Karbi Anglong is on.

Rongchang during his speech in the evening hours today reminded about the commitments of the senior leaders from both the State and Central BJP party who during election campaigns had promised that they would give Article 244 (A) to Karbi Anglong if the party comes into power.

Requesting the Assam Legislative Assembly Speaker Hitendra Nath Goswami, Rongchang urged him to pressurize the Center to fulfil their commitments which they made during their last election campaign at Karbi Anglong.

CEM of Karbi Anglong Tuliram Ronghang was joined by Karbi Anglong North-Cachar Hills Autonomous State Demand Committee President, Ojit Timung and Karbi Cultural Society KCS President Chandrasing Kro.
