Motivational talk show on 'Tejasvi Bharat' held at Gauhati University

GUWAHATI: The Department of Business Administration and the Directorate of Students' Welfare, Gauhati University, in association with the Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture, Guwahati, organized a motivational talk show on 'Tejasvi Bharat' on Friday at the GUIST building at the university Campus in the presence of the Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Pratap Jyoti Handique.

According to a press release, Swami Govinda Dev Giri Ji Maharaj chaired the talk as the Guest Speaker and the event was attended by professors and students of various departments of the university.

The event began with the master of ceremonies Dr Samir Sarkar, assistant professor of the Department of Business Administration, Gauhati University, who anchored the entire programme, giving a brief idea about the event. It was followed by a welcome speech from Dr Ranjan Kakati, the Director of Students' Welfare, Gauhati University who was one of the organizers of the event.

Subsequently, lighting of the lamp by the Vice Chancellor along with the Head of the Department of Business Administration, Dr Rinalini Pathak Kakati and other dignitaries was accompanied with a group song - 'Deepam Jyoti' performed by students of the Department of Business Administration.

Thereafter, the Vice Chancellor inaugurated the event with his welcome address to the audience.

Following up to his introduction, the Chief Speaker of the event, Swami Govinda Dev Giri Ji Maharaj, deliberated on his vision of 'Tejasvi Bharat' and laid stress on the role of the youth of the nation in working together peacefully and enthusiastically in the spirit of unity and patriotism.

In culmination of the event, the vote of thanks in acknowledgement of the kind presence and strong support by one and all who collaborated to put up the event was delivered by Jashojit Sarma Mazumdar, a 4th semester student of the Department of Business Administration, Gauhati University.
