Nua-Dristi to felicitate litterateurs on June 11 at Gauhati Press Club

GUWAHATI: Nua-Dristi, a bilingual weekly in Bishnupriya Manipuri and Assamese published from Guwahati, will felicitate some noted Bishnupriya Manipuri writers and poets at the Gauhati Press Club at 3 p.m. on June 11, 2023. A collection of poems, ‘Anubhab’, by Anjana Sinha, Editor of Nua-Dristi, will also be launched at the programme.

The six writers and poets to be felicitated are Prof. (Dr.) Smriti Kumar Sinha, Vice Chancellor, Pragjyotishpur University, Guwahati; poet-journalist Shibendra Sinha, Silchar; poet-dramatist Shashikanta Sinha, Durlabcherra; poet B. Bijay Sinha, Bikrampur; poet-novelist Chandrakanta Sinha, Durlabcherra; and poet Parimal Sinha, Hailakandi.

For over three decades, Nua-Dristi has been contributing much to the literary, cultural, and social landscape of the Bishnupriya Manipuris, apart from that of the Assamese.
